the problem
Some questions do not fit a map. Shoppers and staff ask them in their own words and expect a correct answer straight away.
the approach
- Built the assistant to handle natural-language questions about tenants, locations and services.
- Answers are grounded in the mall's own data and indexed documents through retrieval, not in what the model happens to remember.
- Prompts are tuned for consistent answers, for following instructions closely and for refusing attempts at prompt abuse.
- The assistant is embedded in the Interactive Mall Directory as a chat panel.
the outcome
- Used by shoppers and staff alongside the directory.
- Grounding answers in documents reduced hallucinated replies.
